Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is an Mexican American singer-songwriter and popular actress. Sara Ramirez was raised by an American mother, and was subjected to a variety of racist taunts and led her to feel unwelcome. After entering a ninth-grade school audition, where she received high praise for her voice as she built confidence. Not only did she gain confidence from the experience, but she also changed the direction of her career. When she was 22 she was a graduate of New York's Julliard School. In 1993, she made her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was called You've Got Mail. The greatest accomplishment of her career occurred in the role of The Lady of The Lake as Spamalot's first Broadway production. In addition to being the only actress to win the Tony Award, but her performance was also praised by the critics. The recognition grew even more by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. She is known as a performer and has also released a single as well as an extended play. She also works as a LGBT activist.
